  • How long does an interior remodeling project typically take?
    A bathroom remodel not requiring permits can take between 2-3 weeks. For permitting projects, please add 2-3 weeks to the timeline. A kitchen remodel not requiring permits can take between 3-4 weeks. For permitting projects, please add 2-3 weeks to the timeline. If you are removing load bearing walls that will add a few weeks to the project as well.
  • Is K Young Remodeling right for me?
    If you are looking to build a house, then NO we are not the right fit for you since we don’t build houses. But we highly recommend Summit Remodeling http://www.summitremodel.com/ so give them a call.
  • What factors influence the cost of an interior remodeling project?
    Fixtures and scope when changing floorplan.
  • Do I need to hire an architect or designer for my remodeling project?
    If you are removing load bearing walls to make kitchen bigger, we will need engineering, but we have one we work with.
  • Can you provide references or examples of your previous interior remodeling work?
    References with contact information are always available upon request. Please see our gallery for previous work images.
  • What type of materials do you recommend for different parts of the interior, such as flooring, countertops, and cabinets?
    There’s countless of options available but after meeting with you and doing an assessment we can recommend products based on our findings and our conversation.
  • How do you handle permits and building codes for interior remodeling projects?
    We handle permitting from the design stage needed to apply for permit to the issue of permit as well as standing require inspections.
  • Can you help with the selection and purchase of materials and fixtures?
    Yes, we can. We have Design services available, if you’re a Senior please check under “Our Seniors” tab for your special offer.
  • Will I need to vacate my home during the remodeling process, or can I continue living there?
    9 out of 10 times you can stay living in the house.
  • Do you offer any warranties for your interior remodeling work?
    CSLB Contractor State Licensing Board requires we offer 1 year warranty on our labor, but we decided to double that, our new labor warranty is 2 years.
  • How do you ensure the safety of my property and minimize disruptions during the remodeling process?
    We use plastic walls to protect other rooms in the house, we will ask you to remove any furniture or wall décor to avoid damage. We cover floors and big furniture that cannot be move.
  • Are you licensed and insured?
    Yes we are, and we are also locally license in the cities we work as well. We will issue you a certificate of insurance naming you the insured for the duration of the project.
  • What is your process for project management and communication with clients?
    We will schedule a meeting 2 weeks prior to the beginning of your project, we will walk you thru the entire process and issue you a project schedule. We use Houzz Pro software to stay in constant touch with our clients and send them daily updates or if you prefer email we can do that as well.
  • Do you use subcontractors?
    At our small remodeling company, we prioritize providing the best value for our customers while supporting the local economy. That's why we work with skilled subcontractors who are experts in their respective fields. By doing so, we ensure that the work carried out is of the highest quality, tailored to the specific requirements of each project.   • How do you handle unexpected issues or changes that arise during the remodeling process?
    During our production meeting 2 weeks prior to the job starting, we will be able to give you a list of things we might expect to come up, for example if you are doing a bathroom remodel because you’ve had water damage there’s a chance you might have black mold present, but we cannot prepare for that till after the Demo. When we discover unexpected situations, we will discuss it with you first and issue you a change order if needed ahead of time for your approval prior to doing any addition work not in your original contract.
  • Can you provide a detailed cost estimate and timeline for my specific interior remodeling project?
    Yes, we can, and we do all the time.
  • What payment options do you offer?
    Check, Zelle, Venmo, Credit card for a % fee.
  • Are there any specific environmentally friendly or sustainable options available for interior remodeling?
    Yes, they are, and we would be happy to share them with you just ask us.
  • Can you provide advice on maximizing space and storage in the interior design?
    Yes, our designer specializes in that.
  • What steps do you take to ensure the interior remodeling project meets my vision and design preferences?
    Our Designer uses Chief Architect, a design software to create your new kitchen or bathroom remodel that reflects your material choices. It comes in 3D as well.
